There has been so much happening this Summer…
- Our new car parking and driveway area was completed at the front of St Mark’s – A BIG thank you to Dave Carthy from Carthy Contracting LTD and https://www.benefacttrust.co.uk/ for doing such a great job.
- We celebrated with Nikita as she was Baptised and shared her story of coming to faith during one of our Sunday Gatherings.
- We were involved again in the Little London Fun Day in July; thank you to John, Agnelo and Mahesh who provided tables and chairs and helped out with the set up.
- There were 3 Make lunch sessions over the in summer holiday where we saw a mixture of people at each one, including a KidzKlub family and a child through Early Intervention. Well done to Bethan and the team.
- At NewDay there were 553 salvation responses (including Rufus), 534 healed and more! For Gateway, lots of relationships were made, with other churches as well as within Gateway including connecting with House of God’s Grace church from Ukraine. It was really special to see our youth wholeheartedly worshipping together.
- And at the beginning of September we hosted a one man show created by Artless Theatre Co. called If Prison Walls Could Speak. This performance tells the true story of Petr Jasek, a Czech national and Christian aid worker who, in 2015, was imprisoned in Sudan for his work aiding and assisting the persecuted church and had a BIG impact on all those in the room.
This is a place where we hope to share what we have been up to in Gateway, to let the whole church know of activities and aspects of church life including wider outreach and initiatives that you may not always get to witness or hear about. We want to encourage everyone with all the good and exciting projects we are part of and give space to look back, reflect on and thank God and others in our church community who serve in the local area, the city or further afield.
If you have something to share please email it in to sarah.woodger@gatewayleeds.net
