We hosted the City wide prayer evening the other week where many different churches from across the city came together unified in praying for Leeds.

We also attended the Yorkshire ChristCentral churches together day at the beginning of November which was a really good time of fun, worship and teaching with some excellent children and youth work sessions and time to pray into all the different church situations across our region.

Our Alpha course has been going well and we’ve seen 8 guests come along most weeks with the chance to eat together, watch an alpha video and time to discuss faith in small groups.

The Funday club walk over in Saltaire the other Saturday was a lovely time of community and catching up with one another, a special thankyou to Bethan and Marie-Claire for leading this.

The Growth groups are now in the final week and we’ve had some great feedback from those attending who’ve really appreciated the time and space to learn something new, dig deeper into some skills and knowledge and grow in different areas of service in church life – thank you for all those leading and hosting the groups.

Our Gateway Youth continues to see grow in numbers and in spiritual maturity we are so thankful to God for this momentum and his spirit blowing on our young people. Thank you to Hannah, Aidan, Kirsty, Tom and Eniola for leading these Sunday evening sessions.

A number of gateway folk attended the most recent Jubilee Plus conference and were inspired by the call for churches to respond in this current UK crisis and challenging times we’re facing.

Chris Frost is keeping busy in his role as ChristCentral UK team leader by recently serving the North West churches at their conference and writing a report for all Christ central leaders on resilience as a as a tool for stress management.
