We kicked off 2023 with a Half Night of Prayer where it was great to come together and lift up many of our church initiatives and also pray with an outward focus for churches oversees including Zambia and Ukraine. We loved having so many families with children and young people joining us this time and a special shout out to Izzy and Shanice who stayed through till midnight with both their young children with them.

We continue to be encouraged through our outreach activities which happen during the week from St Mark’s; the Community Café has such a great buzz and mixture of people each week and we love seeing visitors and locals become regulars and integrated into church life. The Community payback team who work out of St Mark’s each Wednesday are still making great progress and thanks to Bethan and her witness and the way she shares her faith them all, one member of the team has recently asked for a bible to read.

Chris Frost recently visited the ChristCentral church in Lancaster and had a good time meeting and encouraging the leaders and church family there.

Last week John and Lesley attended the Cost of Living Crisis Event held at Little London Community Centre, this was a drop-in event for local residents to come along and engage with different services and organisations, they were able to chat to many individuals and sign post them to our community café and food bank projects.
