We enjoyed the All-together Gathering last weekend where we really valued having Matt Hatch from Mosaic church with us and it was very exciting to witness an individual respond to his gospel message. Our Gateway Kids also had a brilliant time on the morning with a good number of children across the ages of 3-11 all supporting each other and playing together.

Youth Alpha has got off to a good start with 9 young people attending the course, 5 of whom are coming from a non-Christian background. Hannah also took three of our year 6’s for a weekend away organised by missional generation called ‘sense of adventure’ with many others of the same age from across churches in Leeds to spend time together outdoors, worshipping and exploring what it means to have a Jesus centred life before they transition to secondary school.

We had an exciting and powerful time at Powerhouse last month where there was a tangible presence of the holy spirit with us and many being filled afresh as there was so much time and space allowed for real encounters.

One of our highlights from the past few weeks was the Community Leaders Celebration which we hosted again at St Mark’s by welcoming 45 people from 25 different organisation for an evening of food, music and presentations. We were joined by the new Leeds Lord Mayor Al Garthwaite who awarded 15 ‘local heroes’ and there was a really good mix of people from different backgrounds representing a diverse picture of the community in Hyde Park, Woodhouse and Little London. It was great to meet people in person and the evening was a buzz with networking and sharing ideas with one another. A BIG thank you to Chris who headed up this event alongside Adrian Smith, the vicar at Wrangthorn church, and to all those who served on the night and behind the scenes. (See photos below)
