What we’ve been up to!
This is a place where we hope to share what we have been up to in Gateway, to let the whole church know of activities and aspects of church life including wider outreach and initiatives that you may not always get to witness or hear about. We want to encourage everyone with all the good and exciting projects we are part of and give space to look back, reflect on and thank God and others in our church community who serve in the local area, the city or further afield. There is lots of good news to pass on this week and we start with some lovely church family news and congratulations to the Mullen family who welcomed baby Evan last week and Laura and Andrew Ninnes who were married at the weekend.
- Tim and Bethan Green are continuing to plan monthly walks for all the church family and for friends who meet on the first Saturday of the month, (they are now calling the 'FUNday club'!) Last weekend they had a good number join them and it was a great time of connection with church friends from across the 3 gatherings.
- We are continuing to pray and seeking to respond as a church to what’s happening in Ukraine at the moment and over the past few Sunday evenings ChristCentral Yorkshire have hosted prayer meetings on Zoom with over 100 people on each call coming together to cry out for peace and with specific prayer points as we connect with the 14 churches in Ukraine we are linked with.
- Lastly we want to give a BIG thank you to the talented Simon Davy for fixing the clock at St Mark's last week which had been out of action for some time.
