What we've been up to!

Hannah had a fantastic trip to India in Feb where she stay with Janaki and worked alongside her ministry FIAM, which Gateway has supported in the past, she spent time teaching in the local school, visiting projects and speaking at church events.

A dedicated and hardworking Gateway team helped host two ChristCentral days in March including the Yorkshire and North East Celebration at Bridge street where it was great to see so many Gatewayers engaging with our wider group and family of churches in this region.

The Thank you for Serving evening was a fun night and a good time of thanking and recognising so many people who serve behind the scenes at Gateway on a Sunday and throughout the week.

The Student and 20s had their annual weekend away at the beginning of March where they had the chance to connect together and strengthen friendships. Dave Mullen spoke really well on being part of the body of Christ and how much we need one another.

It was great to welcome Guest Speaker Patrick Regan OBE at our Try Church Sunday who spoke so well on the topic of Dealing with Overwhelm.

Kids Life Group has restarted and it is fab to see lots of kids in years 5&6 having the space and opportunity to get to know each other better with lot of fun, games and faith filled content – thankyou to Simon and Esther who lead these sessions very enthusiastically!

This month the Grounds team have planted 3 new trees, an Oak, Walnut and Sycamore to replace some of the trees blown down over the last few years.

This is a place where we hope to share what we have been up to in Gateway, to let the whole church know of activities and aspects of church life including wider outreach and initiatives that you may not always get to witness or hear about. We want to encourage everyone with all the good and exciting projects we are part of and give space to look back, reflect on and thank God and others in our church community who serve in the local area, the city or further afield.
