3.30pm to 5.15pm – Meeting
Sunday meetings are an exciting place to be in Gateway – the whole church comes together to celebrate what God has done through Jesus.
We have two meetings on Sunday. The morning meeting starts at 10.30am with refreshments served from 10.00am. The afternoon meeting starts at 3.30pm with refreshments served from 3.00pm.
As you arrive you will be met by our Welcome Team, who’ll be able to explain what’s happening when and where! They can show you where refreshments are served in the cafe area.
The meeting usually starts with a brief introduction followed by about 30 minutes of worshiping and praising God which is led by one of our bands. Childrens’ and youth work starts at after the worship time (see below for more details).
During the meeting there is opportunity for people from all around the meeting to contribute. There are then a few notices followed by a talk from the bible for about half an hour. We then have further time to worship and praise God as well as time to respond to the talk.
Anyone is most welcome to join us, there is no pressure to stay for the whole meeting or join in with the worship and there is no need to dress up smart. If you are new to the church our Connect Team would love to chat to you and help you with any questions you may have. If you would like someone from the Connect Team to meet you before a Sunday so you already have a friendly face you know, please contact us using the form at the bottom of this page.

St Mark's Church
At Gateway we believe that our children can know God, be in relationship with Him and be filled with the Holy Spirit. We believe that they have an indispensable part to play in the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12-25).
Our kids work team aim to provide an environment where children feel loved and accepted while learning about God and having a fun, safe and positive experience of church. We aim to give our children opportunities to grow in their relationship with Jesus, along with building community with one another and their leaders.
Each Sunday, parents can register their children in the half hour refreshment times before the gathering. These take place from 10.00-10.30am for the morning gathering and 3:00-3:30pm for the afternoon gathering. The registration desk is to the right of the main entrance in the cafe area. If you arrive after this, please register your children when you drop them off for kids work.
Our children worship as part of the whole church community for the first 25-30 minutes of our Sunday gatherings before joining their groups for the remainder of the gathering. In the morning, we have 2 groups, 6 months – Reception and Year 1 – Year 6. In the afternoon, all children meet together, 6 months – Year 6.
All our groups are run by a team of voluntary workers who are committed to providing a safe, engaging and comfortable place for your children. Our workers are DBS checked and trained in our extensive Safeguarding policy.
Gateway Youth is here to help young people in school Year 7 and above to understand and know God and his amazing love for us. We do this through interactive, fun Sunday sessions, mid-week socials, trips and residentials. Gateway Youth is a great opportunity to get to grips with and explore the ins and outs of Christianity: the Bible, prayer, worship and doing life with Jesus.
Our youth workers are DBS checked and trained in our extensive Safeguarding policy.
