What we've been up to!
There are so many highlights to catch up with from before Christmas…
Amy launched the new kids and youth library which will run on the first Sunday of the month in the café area between 10-10.25am.
We held the first altogether Men’s Evening with over 50 guys including a number of teenagers, there was a really encouraging worship time, lots of prophetic words and a real sense of vision for the future as God is calling us to deepen our discipleship with one another as we follow Jesus.
The Student and twenties team ran a very successful bake sale, raising over £230 towards their weekend away.
A Big thank you to all our new All Age Gathering speakers, it is fab to see our kids and adults together engaging with these interactive talks.
We praise God for Quarry Mt primary school coming through their Ofsted and thank God that Gateway continues to have a close relationship with them, in the next few weeks Josh Bissell will be taking on being a governor there, replacing Chris Frost who’s stepping away after 6 years of service. Gateway continues to provide Early Intervention Support to a number of QM pupils.
The Grounds team were small in number at the end of the year but made progress strimming, mowing, weeding and composting.
Chris Frost was out and about preaching at both Hope Harrogate and Grace Church Bradford.
And Antony, Faith and Asher landed in Zimbabwe after a stop in Dallas. They have a big programme lined up for 2025 beginning in Zambia in January by visiting a number of different church leaders and churches – Please keep them in your prayers.
This is a place where we hope to share what we have been up to in Gateway, to let the whole church know of activities and aspects of church life including wider outreach and initiatives that you may not always get to witness or hear about. We want to encourage everyone with all the good and exciting projects we are part of and give space to look back, reflect on and thank God and others in our church community who serve in the local area, the city or further afield.
If you have something to share please email it in to sarah.woodger@gatewayleeds.net
