When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon, and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?  (Psalm 8: 3-4)

On a trip to the Lake District, I walked part of the way up Skiddaw. I looked down and saw the town of Keswick and Bassenthwaite lake. The sun was shining, and the scene below was stunning!  A small town and shimmering lake, nestled in amongst trees and mountains with a blue sky above, it was breathtakingly beautiful!

A sense of wonder filled my soul – I just fell in love with this beautiful scene!

I felt a whisper from our Father God, “That is how I feel when I look at my church, my bride, my beautiful sons and daughters whom I love.” I stood in awe at what my eyes were seeing and what my heart was hearing and worshipped.

See what great love the father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And this is what we are! (1 John 3 :1)

We are His church, His bride – He loves us passionately, His sons and daughters! What a privilege it is to be so loved by the Creator of this beautiful world – and He loved us first: This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.  (1 John 4: 10)

Whatever you are going through right now, LISTEN!

Our Father God is shouting from the mountain tops – like an echo ricocheting down the valleys, “I love you, I’m with you, I’m for you today and always, my son, my daughter!”

Psalm 8 continues: You have made them [mankind] a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honour. You made them rulers over the works of your hands, you put everything under their feet….

We, who deserve nothing, have been given everything. We can but worship Him.

LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! Thank you!
