Over the past few years, our staff team has grown and changed. In 2019, we want to help you get to know the Gateway team! Each month a few of our blogs will introduce you to a different staff member. This week we will be meeting Pip Ridgway.

Pip, what is your job title?

I am an IMPACT team member.  [IMPACT is a voluntary year of service with a local church that includes training. For more information, you can see the ChristCentral website].

Can you briefly explain your job to us?

I co-ordinate the student ministry work and help at the Gateway Tots group as part of my Impact year. This involves meeting up with students and organising student events, as well as going to Impact theological training every term.

What is your favourite part of your job?

I love meeting up with students and giving them time and support!

What is your favourite Bible verse or story? Why is it your favourite?

The Psalms often really speak to me and help me process emotions. Psalm 20 is one of my favourites at the moment; it is about God saving us from trouble and how we can trust in Him.

What do you like to do to relax after your work day?

I normally go to my current Netflix series (ask me for recommendations!); or I see friends in the evening and maybe go out for dinner.

If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance at winning a medal for?

Either reverse parking (which is a very boring answer) or singing harmonies … Obviously I enjoy singing harmonies more than reverse parking!

Pip volunteers for the church on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday afternoon and evening, Wednesday morning and Thursday.
