A look back over the Easter season and the past few weeks at Gateway…

We held our first ever Tenebrae Service on Maundy Thursday which was a really powerful and moving time of remembering the death of Jesus. A big thank you to Sam, Bryn and Shaheen for their vision and all their input into this impactful event.

Thank you to all those who served and took part in our Interactive Easter Gathering and particularly to Chris for leading the event and to those who were part of the performance team: Pete Croker, Josh Bissell, Nick Mance and Amy Sprenger. It was an excellent morning of fun and celebration with all ages contributing.

We ran the Make Lunch program over the Easter school holidays with 41 guests and many from the Eritrean community in little London and Woodhouse welcomed into the building and fed.  Thank you to Bethan and the team and praise God for the provision of food!

There was a brilliant Amplify event which took place at the end of March with many young people from across Yorkshire coming together – we had 18 youth there from Gateway and it was fantastic to see them connecting so well with God and with each other. It was a great opportunity for the youth to think through topics highly relevant to their everyday lives.

KLG (our Kids Life Group for those Gateway Kids in years 5&6) continue to have some excellent sessions together on a Sunday evening where they are working through a faith inspired curriculum mixed with times of fun and silliness. Thank you to Simon and Esther who lead this group so well.
