This is a place where we share what Gateway has been up to, letting the whole church know of activities and aspects of church life including wider outreach and initiatives that you may not always get to witness or hear about. We want to encourage everyone with all the good and exciting projects we are part of and give space to look back, reflect on and thank God and others in our church community who serve in the local area, the city or further afield.
- In October last year Gateway was awarded the Leeds SACRE ‘Schools Welcome! Award for our commitment to community cohesion and demonstration of good practice in hosting quality education visits. We have since welcomed and given many more students from different schools in the city a tour of St Mark’s in-person and virtually.
- We want to say a big THANK YOU to Aidan Schooley for prompting and leading us as a church to prayer for the Ukraine and Russia Crisis – here you can see a detailed presentation he has created.
- Thank you to all those who helped out the other week after powerhouse to move some seriously heavy pews out of the Vestry to allow space for future development. These have now been stored in the bell tower at St Mark’s – see photos here.
