On the 12th September we received an award at the Inner North West Community Committee Thank You Event organised by the Council and Chris was presented this by the Lord Mayor on behalf of Gateway in celebration of all the volunteers who bless our local community of Woodhouse, little London and Hyde Park through the outreach and services we provide and run out of St Mark’s.

We saw more than 50 people at our Thank you for serving evening where it was a privilege to publically thank many individuals for all their hard work and service to church life and also to see a number of our young people there and recognise how many of our older kids and youth who have stepped up this year serving in various gathering teams and on rotas. A BIG thank you to Tim Wyatt and Alex Kelly who brought the fun and entertainment for the evening.

We continue to have the Community payback team in each Wednesday when Bethan puts them all to hard work by doing odd jobs outside or around the building and recently we’ve had some very handy individuals with us who have been keen and skilled.

We hosted a Church Leaders in Leeds gathering the other week and it was really great to witness the unity, connection and relationships between leaders and different cultures being strengthen.

Chris visited a Christ central church in Blackburn recently with Antony and they both experienced a powerful, prophetic and encouraging time there.
