There have been a number of encouragements to share at the start of 2024 from life at Gateway…

We’ve had a good number of external bookings from outside organisations and charities hiring the building for events over the past few weeks which is continuing to help our financial needs as a church – Well done to Bethan and Alex BD and others who are working hard to host and facilitate this.

One of these events last Saturday was the Intercultural Church & City Transformation conference where we hosted many individuals and church groups from across the country.

Two Sundays past the 4pm Gathering enjoy an excellent all age talk from Bryn Abbott and John and Lesley went to Leeds Chinese Church (on Kirkstall Rd) for the dedication of their new building.

It was brilliant to welcome Rachel Turner for our ‘I see a Generation’: Kids and youth envisioning evening, she led a very helpful and interactive session for many of our parents, carers and children and youth workers.

In other wider news it has been great to hear that now Donavan and Sarah have settled into life in New York as they moved over there for work – let’s remember them in our prayers as they look to get established in a church and build good relationships there.

This is a place where we hope to share what we have been up to in Gateway, to let the whole church know of activities and aspects of church life including wider outreach and initiatives that you may not always get to witness or hear about. We want to encourage everyone with all the good and exciting projects we are part of and give space to look back, reflect on and thank God and others in our church community who serve in the local area, the city or further afield.

If you have something to share please email it in to sarah.woodger@gatewayleeds.net
