We had a brilliant Half night of prayer at the end of January one Friday evening with a good number of Gatewayers gathering to pray and worship over the evening. The youth band did a fab job of playing and leading worship for the first time.

The Grounds team were out and about in January and are still making steady progress on the path by clearing more of the ground, fitting the weed barrier and continuing towards the north east corner.

It was great to be Altogether for our Sunday celebrating at the end of January and a foretaste of things to come – thankyou to all those who served and led on the morning.

The 4pm Gathering have enjoyed some brilliant messy church style Sunday meetings over the past few month – a big thankyou to Tim and Bethan for preparing and leading these all age sessions.

We had the joy of baptising Jez during the 9.45 gathering the other week – well done Jez for stepping out in faith and boldly sharing with everyone.

Our Create event at the beginning of February was a fantastic time! The morning was full of dynamic creativity in different forms including an exhibition of diverse work, performances and a collage workshop all focused on celebrating God’s creation through the captivating theme of trees. Many people were involved young and old and it was a brilliant community time together – big thank you to Natalie for her vision and planning and also to Simon and Esther who ran the café.

This is a place where we hope to share what we have been up to in Gateway, to let the whole church know of activities and aspects of church life including wider outreach and initiatives that you may not always get to witness or hear about. We want to encourage everyone with all the good and exciting projects we are part of and give space to look back, reflect on and thank God and others in our church community who serve in the local area, the city or further afield.

If you have something to share please email it in to sarah.woodger@gatewayleeds.net
