Over the month of Feb we saw…
Our sister church Strings of Life celebrate Chinese new year in style with some of the Gateway family joining in the party held at church.
Lizzy’s final working day for Gateway – On the 20th of Feb we gave thanks for Lizzy Bird and reminisced over her amazing 16 year employment at Gateway as she finished working as the finance manager on the staff team.
Powerhouse in February saw a special Ukraine prayer meeting where we joined with the church family from House of God’s Grace Church in Kropyvnystkyi, Ukraine, on Zoom where it was a privilege to stand with our brothers and sisters and witness this link across the nations and a great encouragement to both churches.
We also saw the last of our 3 individual Sunday Gatherings and were able to celebrate and thank God and those who have led and served in so many ways over the past few years.
Lesley made a guest appearing on UCB radio where she spoke for three segments over a week with stories and encouragements of God’s faithfulness.
Make Lunch returned over the Feb half term holiday where the team served 38 people including many returning local families who were blessed with food and friendship – we are grateful for all that God is doing through our local outreach projects and the way we are continuing to build relationships with the community.
This is a place where we hope to share what we have been up to in Gateway, to let the whole church know of activities and aspects of church life including wider outreach and initiatives that you may not always get to witness or hear about. We want to encourage everyone with all the good and exciting projects we are part of and give space to look back, reflect on and thank God and others in our church community who serve in the local area, the city or further afield.
