At the end of March our Student & Twenties group had a weekend away staying on a farm just outside of Keighley. They spent quality time together eating, worshiping, doing outdoor activities, playing games, praying, reading the bible and listening to a preach given by Chris Boxall.

As the St Mark’s Grounds team prepare for the warmer months ahead they have now completed constructing all the raised beds around the church building ready for planting.

Over Easter we were blessed by our traditional Tenebrae service led so well by Bryn who created such a powerful and dramatic experience for many as we reflected on Jesus death and then it was joy to come together to celebrate on Easter Sunday and hear from Tim Wyatt as he gave a brilliant gospel message as well as our children in Gateway Kids learning about Jesus victory and what that means for them.

Two weeks later we again came together for a special All Nations Sunday to celebrate the many different nations which make up Gateway – there was a great atmosphere on the morning with many dressed in clothing that celebrates the part of the world they are from. Thank you to Chris Frost who led this time and brought along a huge flag representing all the nations of the world.

This is a place where we hope to share what we have been up to in Gateway, to let the whole church know of activities and aspects of church life including wider outreach and initiatives that you may not always get to witness or hear about. We want to encourage everyone with all the good and exciting projects we are part of and give space to look back, reflect on and thank God and others in our church community who serve in the local area, the city or further afield.

If you have something to share please email it in to sarah.woodger@gatewayleeds.net
