Towards the end of April a number of the Gateway staff were blessed and encouraged by a ChristCentral morning where Richard and Ginny from All Nations in Bedford came and shared stories of God moving in their church where they are seeing many healings and salvation – Praise God!

Over 25 of the Gateway Men young and old came together again to share breakfast and a time of fellowship with space given for prayer and reflection.

The Youth had a very successful bake sale where they raised £435 to go toward the cost of Newday – Thankyou to all those who made kind donations on the morning.

It has been lovely to see the bluebell appear this year around St Mark’s as the Grounds team have been clearing away and making space for the natural flowers to grow.

Our Vision and Values course at the end of April had a good number of new to Gateway individuals attend to find out more about the church, our story, who we are, what we believe and what we do – by looking at the vision and values that shape us as a church. We are so thank you for many new visitors over the last few months and those keen to be added to the family.

The Care for Creation team hosted an evening on Monday 29th April to share an update on the ways Gateway is caring for  the environment and also an opportunity to bounce around  new ideas. It was great to hear an update from Hannah Clarke on the Ecogen project, spearheaded by Gateway Youth and also an update on the Grounds project too, led by Gabriel Woodger. It was a great evening to pray and dream up new ways we can care for creation as a church family. We really appreciated having the input of some of our Gateway Kids, who had some fantastic thoughts to share and inspired us with their passion for the world.

This is a place where we hope to share what we have been up to in Gateway, to let the whole church know of activities and aspects of church life including wider outreach and initiatives that you may not always get to witness or hear about. We want to encourage everyone with all the good and exciting projects we are part of and give space to look back, reflect on and thank God and others in our church community who serve in the local area, the city or further afield.

If you have something to share please email it in to sarah.woodger@gatewayleeds.net
