We’ve had a fun and active summer at Gateway with a number of outreach events taking place…

We ran a TLG Make Lunch program over 5 weeks in the school holidays for local families in response to holiday hunger and a need in the community where we hosted and feed an average of 24 children and 18 adults every week who were all referrals from the local primary school Quarry Mount with many different cultures and backgrounds represented. TLG made a visit to our St Mark’s site and were very impressed with the set up –  A BIG thank you to all our 17 gateway volunteers including 5 kids helping out… Adriana, Tiyra, David, Lesley D, Esther, Lorraine, Dave, Fiona, Cornelius, Lesley W, Chris and Sam, and a BIG shout out to Bethan for all her hard work planning and organising this summer project.

The Little London Funday took place at the beginning of the holidays where we had a strong presents and made a big contribution to the event. A BIG thank you to Daddy Abe who performed and all those from Gateway who helped out on our stall chatting to people and entertaining kids! A particular thank you to those from the 11.30am gathering who took ownership and really blessed this event – Well done!

Hannah Clark and Tom Gee took a group of  5 Gateway youth to Newday over August for a week at the festival. They camped with other local churches including Mosaic/the Oak/ City Valley. Hannah was very encouraged from this amazing time they had together and how God met with each of our precious young people at different points throughout the week.

Thank you to all those who came along and contributed to our All-together gatherings in August – we had a refreshing time being altogether as one church and were able to welcome a number of visitors.

Chris and the Frost family had a great sabbatical summer where they took a trip over to Canada including visiting John and Kate Payne who have settled well into the country and are currently setting up a GP surgery near to where they live.
